Remembering my Brother-In-Law Wal:
a man who was easy going and could make you smile
A man with a story and a good heart
A man that was down to earth and who had both feet rooted in Yorkshire..!
His manner was true to himself with no delusions of grandeur.. simple things in life would make him happy..
Remembering he liked toast with dripping, or paté, apple pie & cream or custard .. Trifle ..Fried egg sandwich with brown sauce when halfway to Bridlington on a coach trip. Wal loved music and was in a band in his younger days .. he was a man everybody liked, no one had anything bad to say about Wal “Oh he is a lovely man” they would say .. He was a good Husband, Dad, and family man; He loved company and was good company to be in.
These are my memories of you Wal;
Sadly Wal we lost touch , but I can still remember the last time we spoke .. not too long ago .. and really you never changed always ..the same down to earth kinda guy .. it was just circumstance that changed .. but Hey-ho ..! You will be up there with the family partying .. ..
with pie & peas an all the trimmings ;
Goodnight & God Bless Wal.
I am honoured you were in our lives . Sleep well in eternal peace free from pain in the Presence of Our Blessed Lord. xx

Fond memories of a dear uncle, a true Yorkshire man , straight talking genuine and caring, I can picture him now sat with the family laughing and joking , talking about news topics and football can still hear his unmistakable
voice in my head. Times spent in his company as a child ,teenager and adult these memories will always bring a smile to my face .
I was blessed to have had uncle Wal in my life.
As time passes we drift off with our own lives and don’t see each other as often as we would have liked he was still loved and will be missed.
Rest in peace uncle Wal I’m sure there will be people pleased to see you up there !
